FSU Baseball Shut Out In Series Opener at Wake Forest

After going just 2-2 in their last four games, FSU baseball couldn’t afford to drop another game against a team they should easily beat. Somebody forgot to relay that message to head coach Mike Martin and the team before the opener of their weekend series against Wake Forest.

The Seminoles weren’t able to get a run across home plate the entire night and watched as the Demon Deacons took advantage and got the 9-0 victory Friday night.

The game was just 1-0 in favor of Wake Forest entering the bottom of the sixth inning when the Deacs took advantage of Mike Compton being off his game and crossed three more runs in the inning:

Noles yield three runs in the sixth, falling behind 4-0, after a two-RBI single to left by Mondou.
