TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Sean Maguire dressed as Florida State’s starting quarterback for Halloween, and it was such a hit, maybe he’ll wear that label for at least another week.
With starter Everett Golson ruled out against Syracuse with a concussion, the No. 17 Seminoles turned to Maguire, the team’s backup quarterback. The offense had their best first-half of the season as Maguire threw for 302 yards over the first two quarters.
Florida State (7-1, 5-1 ACC) would go on to roll Syracuse (3-5, 1-3), 45-21.
With No. 3 Clemson looming, will the Seminoles stick with Maguire?
