Virginia used their Friday starter on Wednesday, so they turned to senior Joe Savino, who worked back from injury at the start of the year. Savino threw his best start against an overly aggressive Seminoles lineup early on. Williams grounded out on the game's first pitch, and the top of the order went down in order.
