For the entire season, Florida State’s bullpen seemed like the weak point of the roster.
They delivered on Friday.
FSU’s bullpen fired six-shutout innings after a 2:20 hour delay burned Joey Volini and propelled the Seminoles past Bethune-Cookman and into the winner’s bracket with a 6-2 win in game one of the Tallahassee regional.
Peyton Prescott settled the game down when he entered in the fourth and tossed 2 2⁄3 scoreless frames. Chris Knier picked up the last out of the sixth before silencing the Wildcats in the seventh and eighth, while John Abraham closed the game out with a zero in the ninth.
