Looking to continue the momentum from their series win over Clemson, Florida State baseball blew out Jacksonville University 14-2 on Tuesday night in Tallahassee.
Drew Faurot stayed scorching at the plate, going 4-for-4 with two home runs and two RBI, leading his team to another offensive outburst. The Seminoles scored 14 runs on 11 hits, with five doubles and two HR from Faurot, while walking eight times, as the quality of at-bats has finally reached the level that Link Jarrett said his team could do at the beginning of the year.
Florida State blew the game open with a four-run fourth and nine-run fifth, turning a low-scoring 1-0 game, courtesy of Faurot’s first HR, into a rout.
