During a stop in Jacksonville on Tuesday, Florida State head coach Willie Taggart spoke on the Seminoles’ new approach to play calling this spring:
Taggart says FSU didn’t have a playbook this spring. Guys take notes. They walk through. He questioned it at first but Briles has encouraged it and it has led to a faster tempo this spring.

Though it might strike as odd, it’s not a huge shock: new offensive coordinator Kendal Briles didn’t use play sheets at FAU or Houston either, the reasoning being that taking the time to look at them was pre-snap time being wasted.
