Florida State football, recruiting news: FSU adds blue-chip linebacker to 2020 class

Four-star linebacker Jayion McCluster committed to Florida State on Wednesday, choosing the Seminoles over Miami and Auburn. With McCluster’s committment, FSU has jumped up a spot in 247’s composite class rankings.

Four-star receiver Michael Redding says he’s going to be ready to make a decision on his commitment before his senior season starts, with FSU already having gotten the IMG prospect on campus for an official visit.

Sav’ell Smalls, a five-star linebacker prospect out of Washington State, has narrowed down his top schools, and Florida State made the cut.
