Florida State beats Wake Forest, handing Deacs first loss in 10 games

Don’t look now, but Florida State (9-6, 3-1) is on a roll. Coming off two victories over middling ACC opponents, Florida State stepped it up a notch to lead for 33 minutes against a Wake Forest team that came in on a nine-game winning streak, ultimately holding off the Demon Deacons by five, 87-82. Jamir led the way with a team high in points (19) and assists (9), while Darin Green, Jr. added 17 points, 5 boards, and 5 steals.

First Half:

Wake Forest opened the contest on a 5-0 run, with FSU missing a couple of makeable layups during the stretch, which would unfortunately be a trend for the half.
