It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that if Mike Norvell and the Florida State Seminoles coaching staff want to get the program back into the upper echelons of college football, they have to win more battles for elite prep prospects. Today is a step in the right direction, as FSU landed a bellcow recruit on the defensive side of the ball.
Elite defensive back Chauncey Kennon has decided to take his talents to Tallahassee.
Kennon is a 6’1”, 175 pound defensive back who plays for Booker High School in Sarasota, Florida. He’s racked up nearly 40 offers and FSU beat out fellow finalists the Georgia Bulldogs, LSU Tigers, Miami Hurricanes, and Florida Gators, along with a who’s-who of other major college programs.
