College Gameday will kickoff the 2024 season in Dublin, Ireland to watch Florida State play Georgia Tech in the Aer Lingus College Football Classic. The game is set for Saturday August 24th, 2024 and will be played at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium.
This will be the first time College Gameday has covered a game outside of the United States. College Gameday was set to cover the 2020 Aer Lingus College Football Classic between Notre Dame and Navy but that game was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The announcement comes on the heels of several attempts by ESPN to mitigate its role in publicly lobbying for Florida State’s exclusion from the College Football Playoff.
