I realize that we entered the offseason with the question: How many wins does Mike Norvell have to get for him to be "safe"? This is a thought that I believed was ludicrous to think about.
There was a portion of the fan base that trusted Coach Norvell after being 10-3 in 2022 and 13-1 in 2023. He was then pursued by the Crimson Tide, and the Seminoles had to ensure that they didn't lose him, as he was rewarded with a contract extension for over $10 million per year.
Florida State football decided not to allow Norvell to slip through the cracks and prove to all the SEC teams that the Seminoles had the resources to keep him around and happy.
