Cam Akers talks after making FSU history with heroic performance vs. Louisiana-Monroe

Florida State fans have lots to be concerned with — if not furious about — following the Seminoles’ narrow escape against UL-Monroe on Saturday night. With the prospect of another second-half collapse about to result in an unconscionable loss to the Warhawks, ’Nole running back Cam Akers carried FSU to an overtime win— and he did it by carrying the ball more in one game than anyone in program history.

The junior from Mississippi rushed 36 times, two more than the previous school record of 34 set by Travis Minor in the 1998 opener against Texas A&M.
