Auburn firing Huge Freeze and hiring Alex Golesh from USF probably isn’t the splash hiring that some Auburn fans wanted. However, Golesh’s first meeting with the team is exactly what I’d want to hear if I were a player or Athletic Director.
Whether he’ll be able to accomplish all that he said is another story, but there’s got to be a starting point somewhere. The details for his contract emerged on social media on Monday, and I have to say, I’m impressed with how Auburn laid it all out:

Golesh’s base salary will never exceed eight million dollars during his six-year contract.
