ACC commissioner: No timetable for decision on headquarters move

There is no timetable for the ACC to make a final decision on where it wants to move its headquarters, with commissioner Jim Phillips calling the process “tremendous.”

The ACC announced last year that it would look into possibly moving its current headquarters from Greensboro, where it’s been since 1953. Orlando is reportedly one of three finalists considered, along with Charlotte and Greensboro.

At the spring meetings in May, Phillips believed a vote on the matter could come sometime in the next 3-4 weeks, but during the conference’s media days in Charlotte Wednesday, he backed off putting a date to a decision.
