4-star athlete Raymond Woodie III signs with FSU football

If that name sounds familiar, it’s for a very good reason. The Seminoles newest signee, Raymond Woodie III, is the son of the Florida State linebackers coach of the same name, and the younger Woodie will be joining his father in the garnet and gold.

A four-star athlete from Tallahassee’s Florida State University School, Woodie (6’1, 192) projects as a defender for The Seminoles, most likely a safety or star linebacker. Woodie’s composite ranking has him as the nation’s No. 27 safety, Florida’s 42nd best player, and the No. 316 overall prospect in the country. Recruited to FSU by his father and defensive coordinator Harlon Barnett, Woodie has an impressive list of scholarship offers from programs including Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Penn State, USC, Stanford, and many others.
