Florida State Football Recruiting: Seminoles Check In On Five-Star OT

Recently, Florida State Seminoles offensive line coach Rick Trickett paid a visit to Orlando (Fla.) Dr. Phillips five-star offensive tackle Calvin Ashley, likely in an attempt to cement the program's foothold as the leader for the 2017 standout.

Per 247Sports, "FSU leads for Ashley, with Auburn and Ohio State being a few of the top contenders along with the Seminoles."

Ashley played for a short while at college prosepect factory IMG Academy, and he has maintained a regular line of communication with Trickett despite moving schools.

According to 247Sports.com, Ashley is the #4 prospect in the nation and #2 offensive tackle in the Class of 2017. He is currently considered the consensus top prospect in Florida.
