After signing unrestricted free agent defenseman Jason Demers earlier in the day, the Florida Panthers announced they have come to terms with restricted free agent center Vincent Trocheck, singing the second line center to a six-year contract worth $28.5M ($4.75 AAV).
Flanked by Reilly Smith and Jussi Jokinen for most of the season, Trocheck posted 25 goals and 28 assists in a breakout performance to earn the lucrative new deal.
Trocheck was originally drafted by the Panthers 64th overall in the 2011 Entry Draft and has totaled 83 points in 146 NHL games.
