NHL Postseason Caterwaul: Hurricanes complete surprising sweep of Islanders

The Carolina Hurricanes ran off five consecutive goals after falling behind early to defeat the New York Islanders 5-2 in Raleigh. Carolina swept the Islanders aside to become the first team to advance to the conference finals, where they will meet the winner of the Boston-Columbus series. Sebastian Aho, Teuvo Teravainen, Greg McKegg, Justin Williams and Andrei Svechnikov scored the goals and Curtis McElhinney made 26 saves. Aho and Teravainen also added assists. Mathew Barzal opened the scoring with an early power-play goal and Brock Nelson notched the final goal of the season for the Islanders, who only managed to score four times in the series.
