NHL Postseason Caterwaul: Bruins chase Binnington in 7-2 rout of Blues

The first Stanley Cup game in St. Louis in 49 years couldn’t have gone any worse for the Blues, who were routed 7-2 by the Boston Bruins.

Boston’s power play was on fire, going 4-for-4 and needing just 2:06 to score the four goals.

The Bruins opened up a 3-0 lead in the first period on a power-play goal from Patrice Bergeron at 10:47, and even-strength goals Charlie Coyle at 17:40 and Sean Kuraly with 2:50 later.

St. Louis lost an offsides challenge on Kuraly’s goal leading to David Pastrnak’s power-play marker 41 seconds into the middle frame.
