The National Hockey League has officially announced the dates for the 2020 NHL Entry Draft as well as the opening of free agency:
- The 2020 NHL Draft will be held virtually over two days. Round 1 will take place at 7 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Oct. 6. Rounds 2-7 will begin at 11:30 a.m. ET on Wednesday, Oct. 7.
The Panthers will pick 12th in the first round (barring a trade) and currently have six day-two picks.
- Free agency will open Friday, Oct. 9, at 12 p.m. ET.
Mike Hoffman, Evgenii Dadonov, Brian Boyle, Erik Haula and Mark Pysyk are Florida’s unrestricted free agents on the NHL roster.
