The World Junior Summer Showcase wrapped up on Sunday, and the Florida Panthers had a pair of players take part in the annual event.
With their 5-1 loss to team USA on Sunday, Canada wrapped up a 0-3 performance in the summer gear up for December’s World Junior Hockey Championship. Playing in two of the three games was 2015 Panthers’ first round pick Lawson Crouse, who is going to be competing for a spot on the NHL roster this fall.
While he didn’t register any points, you can certainly say that the mini-tournament helped Crouse gear towards an opening night roster spot.
