Hockey just got tastier: Funky Buddha is opening a tap room inside the Panthers’ arena

The drive to Broward for a Florida Panthers game is about to come with a frosty reward.

Funky Buddha Brewery, the Fort Lauderdale-based beer maker started by a pair of South Florida brothers, will open a tap room inside the Panthers’ BB&T Center when the 2019 season opens Oct. 11.

And in honor of the Panthers’ 25th anniversary, Funky Buddha has brewed a special beer, Gloves Off, an India pale ale that will be available at the new Funky Buddha Tap Room.

“Many of us at the brewery grew up watching the Panthers go from expansion team to a pillar of the South Florida community, and we’re proud to be a part of that legacy here in its 25th year,” John Linn, Funky Buddha’s director of Marketing wrote in a release.
