The new-look Florida Panthers will be trying to get past their disappointing second round playoff exit last season at the hands of the Tampa bay Lightning when they take on the New York Islanders in their season opener at UBS Arena tonight. The Cats finished the 2021-22 season with a sterling 58-18-6 record, which was tops in the NHL. The Islanders got off to a poor start and ended with a 37-35-10 record and missed the postseason.
