Jamie Lee Rattray scored twice in Canada’s dominating 5-1 win over the United States at the 2021 Women’s World Hockey Championship in Calgary, Alberta. Melodie Daoust had a goal and an assist and Sarah Nurse (SHG) and Renata Fast also scored. Lee Stecklein ended Ann-Renee Desbiens shutout bid 2:44 into the third period.

Canada finished atop Group A with a 4-0 record and +15 goal differential. They will play Japan in the quarterfinals on Saturday. The U.S. finished in second place in Group A with a 3-1 record. They will play Japan in the quarterfinals.

Japan earned second place in place in Group B with a 2-1 victory over Germany.
