Friday Offseason Caterwaul: Florida Panthers Open Forum

The Florida Panthers moved closer to completing its offseason checklist by signing prospect defenseman Chase Priskie to a one-year, two-way contract.

The new deal will pay the 25-year-old blueliner the league minimum of $750K at the NHL level and $70K at the AHL level.

Priskie is heading into his third professional season, having amassed 11 goals and 42 points in 72 career AHL games. He has yet to make his NHL debut.

The Pembroke Pines native put up 31 points in 52 games as a rookie for the Charlotte Checkers in 2019-20 before he was traded to the Cats by the Carolina Hurricanes as part of the deadline day deal for Vincent Trocheck.
