SUNRISE, Fla. -- The Florida Panthers announced today that the team will host its annual Hockey Fights Cancer Night on Tuesday, Oct. 27, when the Panthers face off against the Colorado Avalanche at 7:30 p.m. at the BB&T Center.
The Panthers will host local families who have been affected by cancer as well as children who are currently battling cancer. Local non-profit and partnered hospitals will have a table out on the JetBlue Tarmac pre-game to educate fans on how they can help out with the battle against cancer.
The Military Hero Among Us will feature a veteran who is a blood cancer survivor and the Community Champion will recognize someone from the South Florida community who is working to raise awareness about cancer research.
