On July 2nd, 2018, at 1:45pm, the Florida Panthers signed Paul Thompson and Jacob MacDonald to two-year, two-way contracts.
Beginning with Thompson, the 6’1″, 204lb right-winger spent his 2017-18 campaign with the Chicago Wolves (AHL), tallying 24G, 14A, and 38 points in 76 games played. Previously, Paul has also played for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, Springfield Falcons, Albany Devils, and the Springfield Thunderbirds.
During the 2016-17 season, Thompson played for the Florida Panthers and their AHL affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds. In 21 games for the Cats, Thompson recorded just 3 points (3A), while producing 19G, 23A, and 42 points in 51 games for the Panthers’ farm team.
