Florida Panthers Sign Defenseman Linus Hultström

SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers Executive Vice President and General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the Panthers have agreed to terms with defenseman Linus Hultström. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The 23-year old Hultström recorded 31 points (12-19-31) and a plus-17 rating in 52 games this season with the Djurgardens IF of the Swedish Hockey League. Hultström tied for first in points (31) in the SHL among defensemen. He recorded 12 points (3-9-12) in eight games for Djurgardens IF during the 2016 playoffs.

The 5-foot-11, 185-pound native of Vimmerby, Sweden recorded 66 points (23-43-66) in 136 SHL games for Linkoping HC, Leksands IF and Djurgardens IF.
