Kolyachonok, 18, played with the Flint Firebirds in the OHL last year. Coming in 6’1″, 183 lbs, Kolyachonok plays as a left-handed defenseman and is regarded as a player who likes to get in on the offensive action.
In addition, he is also capable of operating as a power-play quarterback and loves to use his creative vision to set up his teammates and generate scoring chances.
In 53 games with the Firebirds, the Belarus native put together a respectable tally of 4G, 25A, for 29 points on the year.
Before his breakout in Flint, though, Kolyachonok actually started with the London Knights, featuring in one game and recording an assist before being shipped off to his new home in Flint, Michigan.
