With their second-round pick, the Florida Panthers opted to select Serron Noel from the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). The 6’5″, 205lb right-winger featured in 65 OHL games with the Generals this year, tallying 28G, 25A, and 53 points. During the playoffs, Noel recorded one assist in the five games he participated in, seeing his team crash in the first round.
Internationally, while representing Team Canada, Noel took part in both the Hlinka Memorial Tournament and the Under-18 World Junior Championship (WJC-18). In both tournaments, Serron played in five games, but it was the WJC-18 where he sparked eyes, playing at over a point-per-game pace of six points (2G, 4A) in five matches.
