Some of you may wonder, “what is ‘Legacy Saturdays’ and what is it all about?” For starters, Legacy Saturdays is a celebration to honor the important figures in Panthers history throughout its 25 years of existence.
Beginning on Saturday, October 13th against the Vancouver Canucks at 7pm, the Panthers will host a pre-game ceremony for goaltender Roberto Luongo, celebrating his accomplishment of appearing in 1,000 NHL games.
At 39 years of age, Luongo has featured in 529 games for the Cats, while playing in 448 and 24 for both the Vancouver Canucks and New York Islanders, respectively.
