The Panthers, who have struggled all season in getting and staying up front, were unable to do such and were defeated in the final game of their California road trip, 3-2. This loss, combined with the loss to the Kings just a day prior, led to a 1-2-0 record on the road trip.
The scoring began for Anaheim late in the first period, when Josh Manson scored his second goal in as many games for the Ducks. Manson took the puck from winger Jonathan Huberdeau and finished the goal by deking out Panthers’ goalie Roberto Luongo for the finish.
