SUNRISE (CBSMiami/AP) — It was certainly a tale of two seasons for the Florida Panthers.
There was a stretch in the regular season where the Panthers seemed like they were getting every break, helping them put together what became a franchise-record 12-game winning streak.
And then came the postseason, when it seemed like no bounces went Florida’s way.
The Panthers played a six-game series against the New York Islanders, found themselves trailing in only two of those games — and lost the series anyway, doomed by three overtime losses and three games where Florida could not hang on to leads.
