RUSTON, Louisiana (March 27, 2022) – FIU baseball fell on the road to the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs by a score of 13-2 in eight innings on Sunday afternoon.
Steven Ondina led the Panthers at the plate with two hits that included a RBI double to right center that scored Rey Hernandez in the fifth inning. Not to be out done, Mario Zabala powered his second home run of the season over the right center wall in the third.
By the time Zabala stepped to the plate in the visiting half of the third inning, the Bulldogs had a 1-0 lead by pushing across a run in the bottom of the opening frame.
