MIAMI (Oct. 13, 2019) - The FIU women's soccer team dropped a conference match against WKU on Sunday afternoon, as the Panthers fell by a score of 3-1 at FIU Soccer Stadium.
FIU now falls to 2-11 on the season and 0-6 in Conference USA, while the Hilltoppers improve to 8-4-1 with a 4-2-0 record in conference play.
The first half remained scoreless up until the 40th minute when Ashley Leonard found the back of the net and put WKU up 1-0 over FIU. The Panthers rebounded quickly in the 41st minute when Sydney Washington countered with a header goal, thanks to a set piece service from Carmen Marin.
