MIAMI (Oct. 1, 2021) – The FIU women's soccer team fell to the Charlotte 49ers on Friday night by a score of 4-1 at FIU Soccer Stadium.
The Panthers nearly broke open the match in 6th minute when Sydney Amparo crossed a pass into the box for a wide open Noemi Paquin, but Paquin's shot attempt sailed high over the goal. The 49ers were able to counter with scores at the 7th and 17th minute-marks to take a two-goal lead over the Panthers.
FIU kept up the aggression and was able to penetrate into the attacking third on multiple possessions.
