MIAMI (Jan. 15, 2022) – The FIU women's basketball team secured its biggest win of the 2021-22 season on Saturday afternoon in a Conference USA classic, as the Panthers knocked off Middle Tennessee in overtime by a score of 56-54.
FIU improved to 9-5 on the season and 1-2 in C-USA, while the Blue Raiders fell to 12-4 and 5-3 in the league.
The win snapped a 15-game losing streak for FIU and marked the first Panthers' win over MT since the 2012-13 campaign.
FIU was ahead for a total time of 34:44 in the contest as the Panthers held a lead at the end of each of the first three quarters.
