MIAMI – FIU volleyball senior setter Savannah Cook and libero Mandi Morioka have been named Conference USA Setter of the Week and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
The honors come after FIU's dominant weekend, as the Panthers swept Missouri State in back-to-back matches at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center to open CUSA play.
Cook directed the FIU offense with 84 assists across two matches, while adding 13 digs. On Friday (Sept. 26), the Wilmington, N.C., native dished out 44 assists in a four-set victory.
