MIAMI (May 17, 2018) – FIU Assistant Athletics Director for Media Relations, Kerwin Lonzo, announced on Thursday that Tyson Rodgers has been named director of sports information. Rodgers will be primarily responsible for handling publicity for the women's basketball and softball teams, and assist with publicity for the football program. He will also assist with other fall sports.
"We are pleased to have Tyson join our staff at FIU," Lonzo said. "He has a good understanding of what it takes to maximize opportunities provided through digital and social media platforms as well as maintaining the relationships with traditional media outlets.
