In the first two practices of camp the secondary has made some plays, however, Friday morning some of the veteran offensive players displayed why FIU could move the ball well this season.
Quarterback Alex McGough and returning leading receiver Thomas Owens have continued to show the chemistry they started to develop last season. McGough and Owens have been connecting often through the first three practices. They had a couple of 20+yard hook ups Friday.
Tight end Jonnu Smith looks like he did his first two-plus years at FIU when he was healthy. Smith has been running around with no issues and hauled in a long pass from McGough today.
