MIAMI — FIU track and field's Cole Crkvenac and Arndis Oskarsdottir were honored as Conference USA (CUSA) Athletes of the Week on Tuesday.
Crkvenac earned Men's Field Athlete of the Week while Oskarsdottir notched her second Freshman of the Week Honor of the outdoor season. Both javelin throwers produced strong showings at the Pepsi Florida Relays over the weekend, earning them recognition as some of the league's best for the week.
With a mark of 70.28, Crkvenac placed seventh at the Florida Relays in men's javelin, surpassing student-athletes from Nebraska, South Carolina, Florida, Pitt, Texas A&M and more.
