LYNCHBURG, Virginia (Feb. 23, 2022) - The FIU women's swimming and diving team sits in first place overall at the Conference USA Championships after securing gold medals in both of the opening day's relay events, while also breaking two FIU program records and a C-USA meet record.
The Panthers shattered an FIU and C-USA Championships meet record in the 200 medley relay to open competition, posting a time of 1:36.79 in the A Final and taking first place. Later, FIU swam a mark of 7:11.78 in the 800 freestyle relay to grab gold and close out the evening.
