MIAMI (Jan. 30, 2019) - The sophomore-duo of Diver Rachel Foord and Swimmer Stephanie Hussey were named athletes of the week by Conference USA on Wednesday afternoon.
The recognition follows the Panthers dominate performance against cross-state foe, FGCU. The Panthers bolstered a 198-102 win over the Eagles, who ranked No. 11 in mid-major (Collegeswimming.com), on Saturday Jan. 26.
The superlatives are no surprise for the sophomore standouts who have both been tabbed by C-USA, as athletes of the week, for the second time this season.
The Melbourne, Australia native, notched a first-place finish from the 3-meter springboard with a score of 288.
