Julia Miranda comes to FIU by way of West Virginia University. Miranda, a native of Rio De Janeiro, Brazil spent her Freshman and Sophomore years with the Mountaineers where she was a member of the Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team. At the Big-12 Championship in 2017 Miranda placed eighth in the 100 fly (55.16) and was part of winning 200 medley relay team at Big 12 vs. Big East Weekend, helping the group post a time of 1:46.
