(March 5, 2017) -- FIU freshman Shannon Saile tossed a one-hit shutout as the Panthers defeated Bryant 4-0 to complete the Citrus Classic II Sunday at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex in Kissimmee, Florida. FIU improves to 15-6 on the season, posting a 4-1 mark in the weekend tournament. Bryant slips to 1-9 on the season.
The shutout was the second of her career after a two-hit shutout of Georgetown on February 12. She appeared in three games and struck out 22 batters in 16 innings during the weekend.
