MIAMI (May 3, 2021) - The FIU women's tennis team has earned a bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Panthers will face the Miami Hurricanes in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday, May 7, in Orlando.
The Panthers got off to the best start in program history since 1994, as FIU finished the year at 12-1 overall. The Panthers won three matches at the C-USA Championship as well, including a 4-2 upset of No. 37 Rice.
"After not being able to have a fall season, the difficulties of finding opponents to come play us and all the obstacles we had to overcome, I am so happy for our girls and our team," head coach Katarina Petrovic said.
