MIAMI (September 4, 2017) – For the second-straight week, FIU men's soccer standout Santiago Patino (Orlando, Florida / Freedom) has been named the Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week, for the week ending Sept. 3.
Over the weekend against New Jersey Institute of Technology (T, 2-2) and the College of Charleston (W, 3-2), Patino, the Preseason C-USA Offensive Player of the Year, recorded an assist and two goals.
Patino, a junior forward, assisted on the equalizing goal in the 73rd minute on Friday night against NJIT. The match resulted in a 2-2 draw ending after 90-minutes of play due to lightning in the area.
