DELAND, Florida (Dec. 22, 2019) – The FIU men's basketball team faced Stetson at the J. Ollie Edmunds Center on Sunday afternoon. The Panthers took down the Hatters 83-67, winning their seventh-straight game.
With the victory, FIU moved to 9-3 for the season. Stetson dropped to 5-9 with the loss.
In the opening half, the Panthers shot 46.4% from the field and 42.9% from behind-the-arc while holding Stetson to just 29.4% shooting. FIU held the Hatters scoreless from three and led 42-24 with the teams headed to the locker room. Devon Andrews paced the FIU squad with 10 points in the first period, followed by Antonio Daye, Jr.
