BOCA RATON, Fla. (April 1, 2017) -- Florida Atlantic got four runs on just two hits and finally put an end to the FIU softball win streak, which had reached a school-record 17 games, in a 4-1 Owls win in game two of a Saturday doubleheader at FAU Softball Stadium. After FIU won 5-1 in the opening game, the teams ended with a split of the twinbill, with a Conference USA series clincher scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m.
The Panthers, now 31-7 overall, 7-1 in Conference USA play, allowed three runs on just one hit in the second inning.
