Panthers Place Fourth at Rain-Soaked Florida Challenge

TAMPA, Fla. (Jan. 28, 2019) – To open the spring campaign, the FIU women's golf team finished fourth at the rain-shortened Florida Challenge after shooting a single-round 306 on Monday.

Four Panthers finished in the Top 20, led by Valentina Gilly, who finished in a tie for 10th. The sophomore shot a three-over par 75 over her only 18 holes. In a tie for 13th sits Hannah Leiner after carding a 76 on Monday. Carolina Andrade finished in at 17th after shooting a 77. The final piece of the Panther quartet in the Top 20, Agueda Cortilla shot a round of 78 to place in a tie for 19th.
